Today we are visiting Bangka Island in Indonesia. We will be talking to Anna Clerici from the No Trash Triangle Initiative.
The triangle in the name refers to the Coral Triangle which is a marine area bordered by the countries of Indonesia, the Phillipines and Malaysia.
Over 120 million people live in the Coral Triangle and they rely on the reefs for food, income and protection from storms.
The aim of the No Trash Triangle Initiative is to protect the area from the damage caused by plastic waste pollution.
